With roots in rural Alabama, Perry Austin has a passion for the landscape both as a painter and a fisherman. Beginning art at the age of 13. Perry began formal training in the aerospace industry as a technical illustrator and worked for companies from California to Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, AL. After graduating from Auburn University Perry eventually became Vice President of Marketing and Sales for RSG, Inc. an outstanding international process equipment company. During this period fine art was a passionate hobby and he developed representation at several art galleries. In 1998, Perry along with his three brothers were published in SouthWest Art and soon afterward Perry began the full time pursuit of fine art. Member of the American Impressionist Society, and Oil Painters of America. Perry happily resides and paints in the Alabama hills at Box Turtle Farm with his wife, Carol.

Perry will be the featured artist in the upcoming "From Here to Yonder", Landscapes in America at the Beverly McNeil Gallery in Birmingham on October 5, 2017. (Beverly McNeil Gallery)
